Opinions of a diet plan with current workout schedule...?
Okay.... I workout M-W-F with a model of Resistance training working certain body parts in super-sets or circuit each day. (i.e. Chest and Back on Mon., Biceps-Triceps-Shoulders on Wed., and Legs and Back on Fri.) followed by cardio-intervals. Tues. & Thurs are my "off" days, but I will squeeze in a short ab circuit workout during my lunch. And I do some form of cardio and abs on Sat.
I've been trying to watch my calorie intake and eat more fruits and vegetables as snacks. However, I still seemed to be stuck in a plateau weight. (Not losing that last 4-5 lbs. to trim down and show some definition if not show a six pack.)
My question is.... Has anyone heard of "intermittent fasting" (like the "Eat Stop Eat" program)? And do you think something like this would help break the plateau if I did it on my "off" days? Or what just about skipping dinner (last meal of the day) on my off days?
All intelligent answers welcome.
Have you tried using whey protein ? I googled up some articles about whey protein to explain the benefits but there are so many articles, studies and ads it may be better for you to look it up..
Fasting like that may work short term but then your body would feel starved and defend itself by storing more fat..if you decide to skip meals,I would substitute whey protein shakes or bars .Just having some of those may solve your problem all together without fasting..
