Tips for building a virus model?

I am building a model of the rabies virus (rhabdovirus) for my biology class, but I am not exactly sure what to use to make it. It can not be food, but I want it to be made of things that I either have at home or can buy at Walmart for cheap. I want it to be 3-D and to be able to see the inside. I also need to be able to label it! Any references to look at would be nice too! Thanks!

you can make a virus model..with plain chart papers and a pipe!...you can make it 3D ofcourse with cardboard beacuse you want it to be a see through..you can make it with a cellophane sheet...cut out the head..and staple them together at one end and stick the other end onto a pipe if you dont want to use a pipe...then stick the other side of the head to a thick roll of sheets place the whole assembly on a frame...you can put a diode in it..and a battery so that when you make the virus move, the diode starts blinking!
