What Was Most Unusual Encounter Regarding Train?
Did one recently 'sneak up' upon reader from behind, find a
grain hopper car cover below a trestle, watching transients
'moon' passing Am Trak? What exactly got your attention?
Wow, lots of interesting events over the years.
Having biker chicks "flash" the trains as we go by is definatly an attention getter.
Coming around a curve at high speed and seeing a headlight that appears to be directly on your track can make you dive for the door until you realize it is on the track right next to yours.
Seeing an automobile stranded ont he tracks with someone running towards the train waving their arms screaming STOP!!! is another one you wont forget any time soon.
Hearing the crunch of a vehicle as your train hits it is not pleasant.
Rolling down the tracks on a pleasant summer evening makes you realize it is not such a bad job after all.
