How does an outdoor light sensitive lamp post work and how do you troubleshoot one that flickers on and off?
Somewhere on the post there will be a dusk to dawn type of sensor, maybe a small button like thing, could be in the post of in the light fixture. It senses daylight and goes off, senses when light goes away and it comes on, like a street light. The flickering could be either a bulb or a loose wire somewhere in the post, or in the connection junction box.
