How do I build a batteries power for a wall hanging dollhouse.?
I am working on building the Mckinley dollhouse by Greenleaf to display my miniatures. I have a dozen light bulbs at 60MA each for a 12Volt system. How do I build in a batteries pack so my kids don't have a power cord to pull it down on them? What batteries are best and are rechargeable possible?I am not sure how to do this and hope someone may take on the challenge that actually knows what they are doing, just aim for cheap ; ) . links are a plus, for visual aid. would Cr123A work? Greenleaf Dollhouse offers images on the site for reference I plan on storing it in the storage drawer under the house.
you should be able to buy those sort of battery fixtures from Radio Shack like the ones you see in the back of a portable stereo or toys etc, with the springs in them. You could buy enough of them to house eight double-a batteries because I believe that they are 1.5 Volts a piece(8 of them in series would make 12 Volts). Wire these up in series (black wire to red wire, black wire to red wire... and so forth) until you've wired them all together take the black wire on the end that isn't wired to another battery fixture and attach it to the negative input for the string of lights, and wire the red end into the positive wire. I believe that would work
