what kind of maintenence is required on about 46 feet of nickle/silver ho scale train track?
we have a ho scale train track running around the ceiling of our living room and we started with brass about 20 years ago and that was a big mistake and we havnt used it for a while cause it required to much cleaning and we decided we are gona get it going again and we replaced all the brass with a nickel/silver track and i just wana know what kind of cleaning it is going to need

Alot less than the brass! Back when I was doing HO scale trains, it was always recommended to use the silver/nickel in the tunnels because brass required too much maintenance and the track was harder to get to in the tunnels(obviously) so people used the silver in those hard to reach areas because it didn't have to be cleaned near as often.
I can't tell you exactly how much 'less' maintenance because my tunnels were only like 3' but I would say it was atleast half or less! You did the right thing using the silver/nickel.
I would love to see pics of it. I've always wanted to have a track running along the wall!
